Children are an important part of the life of First Baptist Church and we strive to provide ample opportunity for worship, spiritual growth and fellowship. Our Children's Ministry is led by Janet Shelton.
Junior Church is an exciting, energy filled, age appropriate worship experience for children kindergarten through sixth grade. It meets at the 11:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings. The children attend the regular worship service in the sanctuary and then are dismissed early in the worship hour to go to the Junior Church room in our Educational Building. Signs are posted to guide you, or ask any usher for directions!
In 2008-09 we will continue the Afterschool program for elementary through middle school kids. This program meets Monday through Friday, 2:45-5:30 p.m., and follows the Campbell County operating schedule.
Our children are given other opportunities for spiritual growth and fellowship. In the fall of 2008 will will offer several opportunities for spiritual growth and outreach. Please see the fall schedule below.
Fall Schedule
September 17 TeamKID begins fall quarter. TeamKID (Kids In Discipleship) is a fast paced Wednesday night program for children kindergarten through sixth grade. We meet in the Junior Church room from 6:45-8pm. Each week we learn a new lesson from God's word and hear about missionaries from around the world, and what we can do to help support their ministry.
September 19 The Point 8-10pm The Point is for middle school kids only. This is a place for middle schoolers to come, hang out, play games and more!
October 17 The Point 8-10pm
October 31 Junior Church Costume Party 7:30-10pm Get dressed up and come out for a night full of fun and treats!
November 8 Give Thanks and Give Back 9am-12pm We will meet at the church for a morning of community outreach projects!
November 21 The Point 8-10pm
TeamKID meets Wednesdays from 6:45-8pm
