Chancel Choir All adults interested in praising God through music are encouraged to join the Chancel Choir. Although dedication and a commitment to serve are the sole requirements, prior singing experience is helpful. This choir leads the weekly 11:00 a.m. worship service and provides musical leadership at special services. There is an emphasis on a variety of musical styles so that all may be blessed and experience spiritual renewal.   Part-time participation opportunities are available. Among these are the Christmas Eve, Maundy Thursday, Palm Sunday, and Easter services.   Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 until 8:45 in the sanctuary. The Chancel Choir is under the direction of Donna Rosser.  Instrumentalists Anyone who plays a musical instrument and is interested in sharing his/her gift is encouraged to contact Donna Rosser. Many anthems use trumpet, drums, oboe, strings or flute. Interested instrumentalists are encouraged to join in the music ministry of First Baptist Church.   Vocal Soloists Vocal soloists may offer their talents by sharing in the worship service or special services. Anyone who is interested in singing a solo is encouraged to contact Donna Rosser. Concerts Yearly musical events include a Christmas Concert, a Christmas Eve service, and a Maundy Thursday service. Singers and instrumentalists are needed for these events. These are ideal short-term opportunities for those who love music but need a short-term commitment.
